Who we're looking for
Companions, not carers
You don't need care qualifications to be a good companion, though experience helps. You do need patience, warmth, common sense, and the kind of reliability that means you turn up when you said you would.
- Good conversation and the patience to listen
- Comfortable with light housework and cooking simple meals
- A full driving licence and your own car, with business insurance (we can advise)
- Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide two references
- Able to work some evenings or weekends
What we offer
Time to do the job properly
- Visits of one hour or more, never 15-minute calls
- Regular clients, so you build real relationships
- Fair pay, with mileage paid between visits
- Paid induction, safeguarding and dementia awareness training
- Someone at the end of the phone when you need advice
