About Bridgewater Companions
An independent companionship and home help service in Worsley, run by people with 15 years of professional care experience.

Why we started
After 15 years working in care homes across Greater Manchester, much of it with people living with dementia, we saw the same thing again and again: good carers with no time. Visits timed to the minute, and people who mostly wanted someone to sit down and talk.
Bridgewater Companions was set up to provide that time. We are not a care agency and we don't do personal care. We do the things that make a day better: a chat, a tidy kitchen, the shopping done, a trip out, and a familiar face who turns up when they said they would.
We are named after the Bridgewater Canal, which runs through Worsley, Boothstown and Astley and links every village we serve.
